The encounter: I talked to Loubna when I checked into the Faouzi Azar Hostel, where I spent a weekend with some friends.
What is your occupation?
I studied social work at the Hebrew University and worked for thirteen years as a social worker here in Nazareth, but I quit. Now, I work as a receptionist here and I guide tours of Nazareth that highlight the art and cultural life of the city. Iām also a poet. I publish poetry in the local newspapers and I have published two books: Steps and Here is My Land, both in Arabic. One was published in Ramallah and one in Haifa. My favorite poets are Pablo Neruda and Mahmud Darwish.
How do you describe your religious or national identity?
I am a human being.
Can you tell me a bit about your family?
I have three sisters. I am single.

I dream of peace, but I know it's complicated.
